Boyne's Life While Writing DAWN OVER KITTY HAWK
Walter J Boyne wrote Dawn Over Kitty Hawk while he was living in Ashburn, Virginia, he published the book on the 16th of may 2003. One of the reasons for writing Dawn Over Kitty Hawk was because of his love for flying. Dawn Over Kitty Hawk was not the only book that was written by him, he had written over fifty books and one thousand magazines articles previous to it, but it was one of his well know books till this day. Before Walter J Boyne was a novelist, was a pilot with over 5000 flying hours. Boyne began his writing career in 1962 while still in the Air Force. Tired of the repetitive aviation articles of the time, he chose to write about lesser-known people and airplanes starting with an article on the Curtiss P-36. Boyne's article was accepted by a magazine in Britain which paid him $29. You can see the passion he has for flying and writing books in every single book and magazines articles of his.
